These photos demonstrate how high-spirited some of the practices could become. The series of photos chronicle the practice when some unkind words led to the ‘unfortunate incident’ which ended in contusions, multiple abrasions, and a gnawed-off lower limb. Only the quick intervention of the team’s waterboy (who later became a "real" doctor to support his amateur gynecology hobby) in reattaching the severed lower leg prevented it from assuming a starring role in the team’s next barbeque.
